Nickel Plate is a sheet made from the element nickel with a silvery-white appearance and good luster. Nickel is a ferromagnetic metal characterized by medium hardness, high density (8.9 g/cm³) and high melting point (1455°C). In addition, nickel has good resistance to oxidation and corrosion.
Chemical properties: corrosion and oxidation resistant. Nickel also has good oxidation resistance, in the air, nickel surface will form NiO film, can prevent further oxidation. Nickel has strong corrosion resistance, especially to caustic soda, in 50% boiling caustic soda solution, nickel corrosion rate of not more than 25 microns per year.
Physical Properties: ferromagnetic. Nickel is a silvery-white ferromagnetic metal that is also strong and plastic enough to withstand a variety of pressure processes.
Nickel plate materials include N4, N5, N6, N7, N02200, N02201, NCu28-2.5-1.5, NCu40-2-1, NCu30, Monel400, NO6600 and many other grades.
Condition: The condition of nickel plate is usually categorized into annealed condition (M) and hard state (Y).
Nickel sheet can be used in a variety of industries and applications, as it is a very versatile and commonly used form of steel.
