Common Grinding Types:

  • Coarse Grinding
  • Semi-precision Grinding
  • Precision Grinding

Coarse Grinding: Use 600# abrasive belts to grind the workpiece on three sides, the purpose is to remove the weld joints left by welding of the workpiece and the collision damage occurred in the previous process, so that the weld angle is initially formed, and there are basically no major scratches and knocks above the horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Semi-precision Grinding: The workpiece was sanded with an 800# abrasive belt, and the marks produced after rough sanding were further finish sanded, mainly to correct the seams from the previous process.

Precision Grinding: The main purpose of using 1000# abrasive belts is to correct the fine lines of the previous process, so that the joint between the ground part and the non-ground part of the workpiece basically disappears, and the surface of the workpiece is more bright. The workpiece after grinding by this process should be basically close to the mirror effect.
