Corrosion resistance: INCONEL 686 has excellent corrosion resistance and can operate stably in a variety of harsh chemical environments. It is highly resistant to both reducing and oxidizing acids as well as mixed acid solutions, and is particularly suitable for handling mixed acids containing high concentrations of halides.
High-temperature strength: INCONEL 686 can maintain good performance in high-temperature environments with excellent high-temperature strength and heat resistance, and it can work in environments up to 1093°C.
Welding performance: INCONEL 686 has good welding performance, and the welding material is an ideal corrosion-resistant material for overlay welding on steel surfaces. Conventional welding methods can be used, such as TIG (argon arc welding), MIG (gas shielded welding), electric arc welding, etc.
Cutting performance: INCONEL 686 can be processed through a variety of machining methods, with excellent cutting performance. However, due to its high hardness, cutting processing requires the use of carbide tools and appropriate cutting parameters.
