310S stainless steel is an austenitic heat-resistant alloy with excellent oxidation resistance under mild cycling conditions up to 2000 °F. The high chromium and nickel content of 310S stainless steel provides comparable corrosion resistance, excellent oxidation resistance, and greater room temperature strength retention than common austenitic alloys such as Type 304.
