1045 carbon steel plate is a medium carbon steel with the 0.45% carbon contain, which has the medium tensile strength, good weldability and machinability. It’s widely used in manufacturing machinery parts, die forging, gear, shaft, axle, bolt, bolster plate, and support plate etc.
Due to the medium carbon contain, 1045 carbon steel plate has the feathers of high strength, better machinability and weldability compared to the low carbon steels. 1045 plate is a chemistry plate, meeting the chemistry make-up listed below. The “10” designates a basic plain carbon steel and the “45” denotes the approximate carbon content. 1045 Carbon Steel Sheet is normally used for industrial, machine, and tool applications.
